My name is Karen and I am thirty four years old. I was born and raised in Vero Beach, FL. I started working as a Veterinarians assistant when I was in high school. After high school I got married, started a family, and we all backpacked/traveled parts of Central America for the majority of adecade. Through our travels my passion for nature, community, and animals deepened. I was able to come back to Florida and jump right back into the roll of being a Veterinarians assistant! I love what I do and am fortunate to be working with such a wonderful team that teaches and supports me towards achieving my goals.

My name is Marcia, I moved from New York to Vero Beach about 20 years ago. I have been working with doctor Kilpatrick for over 35 years. I love being apart of this team and love speaking to and meeting all of our clients/Patients.

 Hi my name is Katie I found my love with working with animals very young I also have 4 horses, 2 cats, 7 dogs, a snake, a squirrel, and chickens. I'm dual enrolled in high school and college. This is my first job and I am learning so much. I hope to stay in this field.

Hi my name is Tara I was born and raised in Vero Beach. I have always wanted to work with animals since i was a little girl. I’m currently going to school to get a bachelors in bio medical science to expand my knowledge of animals. I have experience being a veterinary technician for about 4 years . I enjoy helping clients understand what’s going on with there animals, as I have a mini pony, 3 dogs and 2 children that are my world.

My name is Shyann Gilbert. I am a 26-year-old mom of two. I have been in the Veterinary field for over four years now and wouldn’t change it for the world. I have four dogs and two cats of my own. Southside Veterinary Hospital has recently welcomed me to their team, and I look forward to learning and growing with them.

My name is Brittany, I have been in the veterinary field for nearly ten years. My passion within this field contains internal medicine along with hospitalization, emergency care and surgery. I'm usually the last thing your pet sees before going under anesthesia and the first thing they see when coming out. Outside of the veterinary field, I go home everyday to a loving household of two hound dogs, the sweetest tortoiseshell domestic short-hair feline (and I guess my husband too). Here at Southside Veterinary Hospital, I have gained such a great second family, who bond well together and constantly help each other learn and grow! Here's to the next few years coming!
